Vendor Call for Winter Shopping Wonderland in Oakwood

WANTED: Vendors for "Winter Shopping Wonderland" Event on Saturday November 2nd at Mariposa Hall (1010 Eldon Rd, Oakwood-same parking lot as Oakwood arena).
Doors are open to the public 10am-2pm
Doors open for vendors at 830am for setup.
Event details include: visit from Santa at 1130, free hot chocolate to all, free shopping bags to the first 25 adult shoppers, donations accepted for the Toy Drive to support the Oakwood Fire Department. PLUS a one stop shopping day for people to get their holiday gifts ordered/purchased!
Vendor details: a flyer will be done up (including vendor logos) and emailed to distribute, facebook event, advertising in Lindsay This Week, advertising on the big light up sign at the 4 corners of hwy 7 and Eldon Rd, flyers distributed in Lindsay, Oakwood and Little Britain.
Table size 8 foot. Table cost $20

Vendor Call for Sale to Benefit Seniors Greetings

Sale date: October 5th from 10am-3pm
Where: Corner of Cameron Street and Ann Street (future home of the CHC) in Cannington, ON
This is an OUTDOOR show
Table fee: $25.00, must bring own chairs, table coverings and tent
Tables must be booked and paid for by Sept. 20th to get listed in the circulated flyer.

What is Seniors Greetings?
Senior's Greetings is a community based group with volunteers that meet and create handmade Christmas cards for seniors who live in retirement homes or for seniors who live at home alone and are registered to receive a card. These cards are handmade. Or are donated unused Christmas cards and are delivered during the holidays (before Christmas) to our seniors in Durham Region. This year the goal is to make enough cards for all of the seniors in Durham Region. The event will help tremendously to assist in buying supplies and the materials needed to make this group's efforts successful. All vendors and sponsors will be listed and advertised through the Seniors Greetings group page and the Vendor Sales event page on Facebook and mentioned in the flyers.

It's Craft Show Season!

With the onset on spring craft show season I know I have been busy getting my stock ready, revamping my table display and spreading the word like crazy! Whether you are a seasoned craft show vet or a newbie to the scene here is a great article from Etsy on How to Get Ready for Spring Craft Shows.

Janetville Spring Craft Sale and Bazaar 
Sunday April 28th 10-3

Tables are $25 each; tables are of different sizes (sorry but I cannot guarantee which size table you will be receiving). Tables can be shared and they will get priority for the larger tables.

Hoping this will be a great time for to promote products and services for: Mother's/Father's Day, Graduation, End of School (teacher/bus driver/crossing guard gifts if people are looking for that), weddings, bridal/baby showers (I know these occur year round as well), and anything else!

Please email: kindredkrafting@hotmail.ca to receive Vendor registration/contract. **Completed contracts and payments are due by April 6, 2013 (please note we filled all of our available table spaces before our deadline for the Christmas Sale). Please remember, when you sign your vendor contract (or if emailing it back, by typing your name and emailing it back) you are AGREEING to the conditions stated within the contract. Completed contracts along with payment are what will reserve your space.

I personally don't know anything about the show or the kind of traffic it gets but for those looking to line up shows for the holiday season it is worth looking into. Please feel free to share your thoughts if you have attended or been an exhibitor in the past.

It's craft show season!!! The Ross Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is currently seeking vendors for the annual Extravaganza Gift Show. This year's show will take place on November 5th at the Armoury in Lindsay. If you are interested in booth space you can contact Tracey at (705) 793-2633 or at rmhauxiliary@yahoo.ca.

If you are in the Lindsay area on Saturday I hope you will join me at the Moose Lodge from 9-2 for the Christmas Crafts & Collectibles Show. Craft show season is now in full swing and I've recently had several emails from fellow artisans with questions regarding shows. I am by no means an expert and everyone will have a different experience but they are a great way to get your work out in the public and see people's reactions. Local: Call for Vendors- Lindsay Ontario

One of my favourite shows to participate in every year is hosted by the local newspaper Kawartha Lakes This Week and is held annually at the Moose Lodge in Lindsay. This year the show will be held on Saturday November 20th from 9-2 and setup is usually around 730am. The call for vendors is in today's paper and when I spoke with the event co-ordinator this morning she let me know that spaces are already half filled! If you are looking to book your spot at this high traffic show call 324-8600.
